In order to better improve the English level of nursing staff in our hospital and the quality of service for foreign patients, SRRH’s International Healthcare Center’s nursing team has implemented "New Feather” since the beginning of 2020, which is for selecting and training qualified nurses for special services the center provides. After initial assessment, 16 personnel were selected. Focusing on the content of the NCLEX-RN, International Healthcare Center is conducting a training of eight months, every other week, beginning on May 8, 2020.
The first training was successfully carried out and was presided over by Wang Hao, our ICU nurse, with our speaker Wang Ran, nurse from the Dermatology Department. We also had a special American guest and Tao Zijiao as guest reviewer. This first lecture introduced clinical signs, complications, susceptible population, transmission routes, prevention and epidemics of COVID-19. After the presentation, Professor Ji Ji, complimented the effort of the speaker and pointed out existing problems.
This type of activities promote learning, while effectively implementing professional quality education, which also provides a platform for nurses to collaborate and learn from each other.
