Orthopedics Department of Sir Run Run Hospital，the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, is a new modernized center of diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases, configured with internationally advanced specialist equipments such as the Cecil ultrasound scalpel, the Smith&nephew  arthroscopes, the Medtronic neurological monitoring unit and the C-arm machine. By the support of theNanjingMedicalUniversityand the Jiangning district government ,it will be built as a orthopedic diseases center of high level and high quality, which consists of the spine& spinal cord center, the bone and joint center and the orthopedics trauma center.

The spine and spine cord center treats a wide range of spine diseases, including (1) Spinal degenerative diseases: cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar spinal stenosis, degenerative scoliosis of thoracic and lumbar vertebra, and revision surgery of difficult diseases of spine,etc; (2) Traumatic diseases of spine and spinal cord: spinal fracture (cervical fracture, thoracic fracture, lumbar fracture and multiple fractures), spinal cord injury,etc; (3) Infectious diseases and tumors of spine and spinal cord: spinal tuberculosis, spinal tumors, spinal cord tumors, etc; (4) Spinal and spinal cord minimally invasive Center: microdiscoscopic technique and intervertebral foramen endoscope, minimally invasive treatment of lumbar disc herniation and lumbar spinal stenosis and lumbar spondylolisthesis.
